Season 2 Episode 35: Healing the Shame and Embracing the Wisdom of Pre-Modern Times with Seraphina Capranos

“It's a practice of shedding: you use your breath, you use your body as a way to shed all those different layers to essentially reveal who you really are your true essence”

In the pre-modern area whenever someone would get sick, people went to the priest, and the illness was almost always considered as a kind of possession. Witches, having known the way of herbs and healing, psychic emotional healing was considered the work of the devil. Because of this, they were burned and punished. In the arc of human history, humans have been on earth for thousands of years and these burnings only took place a couple of hundred years ago and to this day, modern-day witches still carry the shame of being one. They are still living in the shadow of that time and the pain that came with it. However, Seraphine aims to clean and reclaim that. Witches carry valuable knowledge, and they are here to be of service to the Earth and humanity. They are wise people who know how to live, dance, breathe, and create with the forces of nature as well as healers who know the way, how to listen and read the signs of wildlife.
